ROSCO FLYER is fancied to progress this season and is taken to take this contest from Mons Calpe and Bavarica. It's always worth having a look at Simon Walker's mount and he partners Mojeerr but there's little in the twenty two starts of the maiden to suggest that he'll be winning this. In contrast, Rosco Flyer's pedigree suggests that he could come into his own this season and he gave signs of doing so at Newbury when running on well to finish second and he has a decent amateur in the saddle. So too does Mons Calpe and Paul Cole's gelding comes into the race on the back of a fair effort at Lingfield and may prove better suited by the demands of this track. Bavarica is a regular in these events and should go well but she is no more than fairly handicapped at present and has never been a regular winner on turf whilst the frustrating Tevez has yet to win on grass. Lucayan Dancer knows how to win but may be best watched on debut for a new yard and stronger claims are held by Prince Golan but ready preference is for Rosco Flyer. (Ian Ogg)
