A really tough opener but BACHELOR LAD gets the tentative vote ahead of Hasaratan and Along Came Polly. The selection is a course and distance winner from a stable that do well around these parts. His recent form has tailed off a bit but he enjoys quick ground and should get that today. The capable Stephen Grey takes three lbs off his back which will help. Hasratan made his debut down in Cork and now travels north to try and break his duck. His first run was of a decent standard considering it was his debut over the smaller obstacles. He can certainly improve on that and a market check is advised. Along Came Polly is another who seems to be improving with racing and can get in the mix here in a race that won't take much winning. Breeze With Ease is another to note but a tentative vote goes to Bachelor Lad.
