We start with a lady rider's contest where after a very pleasing reappearance run we give Richard Fahey's THE LAST ALZAO the vote in preference to Hawaana while Weetfromthechaff also looks interesting. Only beaten once over this trip the pick rattled up a hat-trick towards the end of last season. A disappointing final effort of that campaign was banished when finding just the one too good from this mark on her return after over 200 days away from the track and that should bring her on nicely. Hawaana was only just held from this rating on his last start when racing on similar ground over course and distance. He obviously has real claims based on that and looks a live contender. Weetfromthechaff is the third in this field to have only been beaten by one last time but he has a bit to prove under this weight while Edas should go well if fit for a first run of the season. A tricky opener but The Last Alzao should benefit for that decent first run back.
