A risky one but DUTIFUL heads the shortlist nonetheless, while Cross The Boss and Broctune Papa Gio are just a couple others with solid claims. A case can also be made for supporting No Quarter but he was below par last time out and needs to up the ante today. Broctune Papa Gio ran a blinder at Redcar earlier this month and has to merit respect on that effort. However, that was a marked improvement from his earlier form and he needs to prove it wasn't just a flash in the pan. Cross The Boss has an almost identical profile but comes here on the back of a solid effort (1 ¼ lengths adrift of Broctune Papa Gio) last time out. A slow start did for him at Redcar but, as he did all his best work at the finish he can represent good value for a place in the frame. However, Dutiful shaped as if he is back on song with a near miss at Brighton 10 days ago and, as this looks a weaker race, the mount of Robert Winston edges the verdict as the best bet for victory.
