BIG WAVE BAY is a speculative choice to lead the charge; while So Bazaar and Mason Hindmarsh also come into the reckoning on the best of their efforts. Mason Hindmarsh has the ability to win a race of this nature and, where it not for a 212-day absence, the mount of Brian McHugh would have merited stronger recommendation. His yard has been very quiet of late so it may be most prudent to simply monitor the performance today. So Bazaar is in good heart just now and, as he is the only previous winner in the line up; he may be worth a saver if the odds allow a bit of space for a cover bet. However, as Big Wave Bay showed great improvement when facing a stiffer test of his stamina last time out, this lightly raced individual appeals as the most sporting option at the likely odds.
