CLASS IS CLASS can live up to his name and take Division Two of the maiden, and gets the vote ahead of Espiritu and joint top-weight Cry Alot Boy. Sir Michael Stoute's only runner on the card qualifies for handicaps after this; a decent second last time out, in time he may want further. With a five pound claimer on board, he's well in at the weights, and a repeat of his last performance could be enough to take this. Cry Alot Boy, along with Orlando's Tale has the most to carry around. Lightly raced for a six year old, this is just his sixth outing. The first three were bumpers, and he won on debut but didn't progress as hoped. Related to group one winners, he's had two outings on the flat this year, with his best effort coming last time out over slightly further with some cut in the ground at Haydock. He's well drawn here, and is expected to be involved at the business end. Espiritu cost connections 490,000 Guineas last year, and one placing in three runs isn't the sort of return they'd have been hoping for. He may prefer a little juice in the ground though to be more effective. Henry Cecil's American bred Mayolynn was a costly purchase too, and this can be a good training ground for some of the hottest Newmarket prospects, but there are no fancy entries as yet for his only runner on the card. Any support should be noted, but our preference is for experience and Class Is Class.
