In depth

Verdict

A tricky one for punters with many in-form horses taking their chances. Camp Nou is a likely favourite here as he attempts a three-timer. He has done little wrong since stepping up in trip but he had to thank Tony McCoy for a persistent ride last time out and the handicapper has taken note of his progression. Little Sport also bids for a treble. He is stepped up in distance today and will need to be at his best to handle experienced handicappers. Robbo and Junkanoo are a nightmare for punters to predict. Both have ability but both possess temprament. The latter is probably the more likely winner but neither would appeal as anything to have the mortgage on. A tentative nod is given the way of Royal Emperor. Sue Smith's team are in good form at the moment and her six-year-old is deserving of this step up in to higher grade after a series of decent efforts in Northern handicaps. Forest Ivory will probably find things happening all too quickly in this grade.
