Unfortunately there is some doubt that this meeting will take place but in the hope that it does, we have a very decent opener to get things underway. Always Rainbows is likely to be a popular order here. He actually beat Scolardy during his flat career in Ireland and has shown plenty over here at the winter game. He trounced Maybe The Business (a winner since) at the track earlier this season and probably would have beaten Middlethorpe and My Line had he stayed on his feet last time out. There was no fluke about Midnight Creek's recent victory over Inch Perfect at Kelso. Today represents a step up in class and while he will relish the conditions, he may just be vulnerable to anything with a turn of foot. Zoltano (fourth to Jaboune here) looks one to be going the right way and does at least have the benefit of receiving weight from the market principals. A good run is anticipated from this progressive individual. The vote is given to Temple Dog on this occasion. Seventh in the Festival Bumper, he toyed with Inn Antique up at Ayr last time out. A winner ofa bumper on heavy ground, he should not be inconvenienced by the likely conditions.
