      Verdict

      A match on paper between The Bajan Bandit and Byron Lamb. The former was a very decent hurdler and made hard work of it at Carlisle to land his maiden chasing bow, Nicky Richards' charge had an easy victory round here in December when accounting for two rivals (including previous winner Mytimie) over two miles. With rains forecast, we will stick with The Bajan Bandit. Tony Dobbin has stayed up North to ride him and that must be considered a tip in itself. Hallyards Gael should be the one to mop up if the principals fluff their lines.
