Competitive fare for the opener. Son of A Gun is given the tentative nod if he is able to reproduce anything like his third to Bow Strada at Doncaster last season. Third in similar grade on his hurdles bow for Mark Polglaise, he would arguably not want too much juice in the ground. Auk's chances of making the frame would not be done any harm by additional rainfall. Wrangel, on the other hand, looks to have seen the ground go against him. Ratified has dropped plenty in the weights since a fair summer campaign. Money for Butterwick Chief or Beckdale (who showed some promise in bumpers) would be worth noting. Highbank is respected in a first foray into the grade.
