Woqood, Judge'n'Jury and Steel City Boy are the three against the field in this wide open affair, and Steel City Boy is given the vote to come out on top. Dual winner Judge'n'Jury was a narrow winner in a bunch finish at Warwick last time but he has only been raised three pounds for that win. He may have won with more in hand had his rider not dropped his reins in the closing stages. Not many of his rivals are in form and he should be thereabouts with conditions to suit. Steel City Boy has two wins to his credit on an all weather surface but is yet to get off the mark on turf. Trained locally at York by Declan Carroll, he runs off the same mark as when a highly encouraging staying on third in a big field at Nottingham on his re-appearance. He is currently running off an eight pound lower mark than when last successful on the all weather, and looks well treated. A fast ground scorer at Pontefract last season, Woqood shaped encouragingly over the course and distnace on his seasonal bow, finishing a close fourth. He may come on for the that run, though any rain may hamper his chances. Steel City Boy can prove too sharp for his rivals.
