Zalimar, Hawk Arrow, Cava Bien and Birthday Star are a handful against the field in this wide open finale and the tentative vote is given to the last named. The selection was a good second behind Moonshine Bill off this mark last time out and in the hope that first time blinkers bring out a little improvement in him he looks the value bet in a competitive affair. Zalimar rates the main danger on his latest staying on fifth behind Given A Chance. This longer trip should suit and he will not be far away. Hawk Arrow is another that could go well as he was a fair second behind Sharp Reply last time out but he looks to have plenty of weight for what he has actually achieved and for that reason he is opposed. Cava Bien is another with place claims on his best form. He looks handily weighted and with the return to this 12 furlong trip in his favour he could go well at a price. Of the remainder, Egeria has shown promise in three runs to date and enters handicaps off what looks a fair mark. Her yard remain in top form and she is another that will not be far away. This is a tough race to call but something has to win and Birthday Star looks the percentage call.
