Mukafeh, Spanish Don and Polar Ben are the three for the shortlist in this open affair and the vote is given to Mukafeh. The selection put in an encouraging effort last time at Newbury when third behind Another Bottle. That was only his second run of the season and he should be spot-on for this. He remains unexposed and looks the one to be with. Spanish Don rates the main danger as he won the Cambridgeshire last year. However, he finished behind our selection last time and there is nothing to suggest that he can reverse the placings this afternoon. Polar Ben was a little unlucky last time as he found trouble in-running at Chester when fourth behind Three Graces. He finished with a wet sails that day so the extra furlong should suit and with his yard in good form he is entitled to plenty of respect. Lateen Sails looked like he might go on to be quite useful a couple of seasons ago, but he has not progressed as expected and is not the most straightforward. Mukafeh is a far more reliable proposition and he is taken to lead them home.
