In depth

Verdict

Lady Zanzara, Sharp Thrust and Becky Moss are three against the field in this maiden and the tentative vote is given to Lady Zanzara. The selection was a fair second behind Louie Louie last time out, That sets the standard in the context of this race and from a good draw she is taken to break her duck. Sharp Thrust rates the main danger on her best form she clearly did not stay the seven furlong trip last time and the return to this trip should suit. Becky Moss is another worthy of respect on her latest fourth behind City For Conquest last time but she gave the impression she would be suited by a longer trip and for that reason she is opposed. Of the remainder Calypso King is another that has shown a modicum of ability and has definite place claims but in a race where the market may well tell all for the winner we return to Lady Zanzara.
