The indications are that Godolphin have turned the corner with their string, so a chance is taken with the unexposed Dahman, who is selected in preference to Self Respect, Michaels Pride and Pagan Sword. The last named has experience of the course and shapes as if he can continue to pay his way. The trip should not be a problem for him and he is one to seriously consider if support arrives for him in the betting ring. Michaels Pride has risen to every challenge presented to her this season and she is a credit to her connections whatever happens today. The daughter of Distant View improved greatly for being stepped up in distance and, despite this being her toughest assignment so far, her attitude for racing makes her one for the shortlist. Self Respect has shown a liking for cut in the ground and still has scope for improvement. The betting will give us a good indication as to whether the first time visor is expected to bring about the improvement he needs to find at this level. However, Dahman looks tailor-made for a crack at this distance and, with the likelihood of a strong pace sure to suit him, this appears to be another good opportunity for Kerrin McKevoy to display his talents in the saddle aboard the son of Darshaan..
