A large field goes to post for this fillies' maiden but on closer inspection not many can be given a serious chance of winning and the principals look to be Cross Channel, Shortest Day and Dubai Melody and the confident vote is given to Cross Channel. The selection was a good third on her debut behind Star Cluster and is sure to have learnt from the experience. From what looks a good draw she looks the one to be on. Shortest Day rates the main danger as she also showed promise on her debut but she was behind the selection on that occasion and there is no reason why she should reverse placings here. Dubai Melody is a well-bred Woodman filly, A half-sister to numerous winners between 5f & 1m2f and should be noted in the market. Time On is another well-bred sort who is sure to have learnt from her debut, but she may do better over a longer trip in time and for the winner we return to Cross Channel.
