A poor quality handicap full of inconsistent types closes out the card and we make marginal preference for DARCEY'S PRIDE, who is racing off a winning mark after showing a bit of form last time out, ahead of Sunley Sovereign and Red Cell looks off a feather light weight based on his all-weather rating so has to be respected. The faster the better as far as the ground is concerned for the pick who last won when a pound higher over this trip in April. His mark shot up, which lead to a loss of form, but he bounced back last time when only finding a bang in form animal too good. Sunley Sovereign seems to act on the extremes of ground conditions and having last won on fast going at Hamilton in May he showed a little return to form when second best off this mark last time on heavy. If building on that run he should go well again. Red Cell is rated eight pounds better on the all-weather tracks and while he hasn't shown that ability on grass he did hint he can do it when just missing out to Theta Wave last time. Place chances are definitely a possibility. Strathmore was expected to go better last time and should run his race once more but with him looking in need of a reprieve to his mark Darcey¿s Pride is the marginal call.
