GINGER TED is the pick with Kylladie and Orpen Arms as the alternatives. The selection is proven under testing conditions having won at Nottingham earlier in his career so it was something of a surprise when he dotted up at the course again at 16/1 earlier in the month. He can win again. Kylladie was well touted earlier in the year though has not gone on. He had a nightmare at Pontefract and while the ground will suit on breeding, he does not look one to trust implicitly. Orpen Arms is a half-sister to Fromsong. She does not appear to have that level of ability though the yard are still in form. Bow Beaver is a real imponderable on the surface though arguably brings the best racecourse form into the contest albeit on better ground. Clever Molly was a very cheap buy at the sales and is yet to trouble the judge. A difficult opener despite lack of numbers and Ginger Ted is the call.
