STARLA DANCER is the pick in this fascinating maiden with Passkey and Hard Luck Story making the shortlist. Starla Dancer has posted plenty of placed efforts this term but as there are plenty of soft ground performers on the dam side of the pedigree, we are hopeful that she will be able to act on the surface and finally take that elusive first success. Passkey is sure to be popular. The dam is a half-sister to Pivotal and was a ten furlong scorer at Salisbury during her career. Hard Luck Story ran creditable races as a juvenile though had been beaten in plating grade in May. Fabled Dancer has been unsighted in two maiden thus far. The remainder make very little appeal indeed. The ability to handle the ground will be the key to the outcome of this contest and Starla Dancer is marginally recommended under the circumstances.
