YASHRID somehow got the verdict at Ripon last time and the step up in trip might help him find the 5lbs improvement that he needs to follow-up, while Trovare looks a danger and Fairy Flight is among others with claims. The selection was scoring over 10f at Ripon on ground that was officially changed to good to soft immediately after the race, so we know that he handles the likely slowing of today's official advanced going description. Although his pedigree suggests that this might stretch his stamina, he is related to winners up to 1m 6f, so it may well be a positive and we will give him the edge over Trovare. Amanda Perrett's charge won over 1m 3f at Goodwood last month and there is plenty of stamina in his bloodlines, so this extra furlong will be ideal for him. He has also gone up 5lbs for that success and is entitled to go very close. Fairy Flight landed a Lingfield maiden before returning to the Polytrack in April and going very well in a 12f handicap. From the same mark she will be very competitive. Aquarius Star should not mind if conditions change and may stay this far on a flat track like Newbury after going close over 10f at Pontefract, while the market should be checked for clues to the chance of Fantastic Cruix on his handicap debut given that the yard is in such great form. Another tough race to call can go to Yashrid.
