Candleshoe has a 6lb pull with TREWARTHENICK for a three-quarters-of-a-length beating at Chepstow but the latter is taken to improve enough to win again, while Cereal Killer and Lost In The Moment are others short-listed. The last-named is a Jeremy Noseda-trained handicap debutant, who has put in three reasonable efforts in maidens to earn a mark of 73. He has not yet been tried on fast ground, but being by Danehill Dancer he may handle any ground, and he could show much more this time. Cereal Killer stayed on well to land a Chepstow claimer and now on a mark of 71 he may be able to get more competitive than on his only previous try in this sphere. Stablemate Candleshoe won a soft ground Warwick handicap before that narrow defeat to our selection and she is another who should handle this good to firm going. A steady improver, she clearly has a very good chance at the weights if the form book is interpreted literally, but nonetheless we will take her on with Trewarthenick. Andrew Balding's inmates are performing very well and our pick has been a part of that with his Chepstow success. He would want some of the forecast rains to linger around to be seen to best effect, and he gives the impression that he may find enough improvement to defy that weight reversal and follow-up.
