Vaultage is vulnerable to an above average performer and DIVINE CALL may be able to answer that call and is preferred to American Smooth. Vaultage has had five cracks at the whip which has seen her awarded a rating that's 9lbs higher than Hounds Ditch who could struggle to make his presence felt. Ed Dunlop's filly is fitted with cheekpieces having missed out by a head at Catterick last time and has been consistent enough to think that she should run her race. Support for the visored American Smooth on debut will clearly be of interest but he changed hands for just 20,000 guineas last year having gone for 80,000 guineas as a yearling which has to be a slight concern as does this belated debut. Oh So Spicy is another newcomer to note but a few of these are open to improvement and Divine Call is expected to step up on the form that he showed at Lingfield where he was relatively prominent in the market. He never threatened that day but it will be disappointing if this half-brother to Penitent can't step up considerably on that form now and Divine Call is fancied to score for his in-form yard.
