Aleqa ran well at Redcar on Tuesday and would be of interest if turning out again with Mr Harmoosh and Young Simon others that should be competitive but another chance is given to VOLATILIS. There's not a great deal to choose between this field and there is a degree of risk attached in siding with John Hills' runner who has been struggling to get his head in front on turf. It's not been for the wont of trying though and Volatilis is given the vote with the form of his latest third at Nottingham working out well. Kieren Fox was in the plate that day but he partners Abhar this time around who has ability but something to prove having finished well down the field at Folkestone and stronger credentials are held by Young Simon who went close over seven furlongs at Brighton. Mr Harmoosh drops back to the trip over which he won at Redcar in May and holds every chance in an open race where both he and Volatilis should be there or thereabouts at the line.
