Verdict

Sahrati, You Never Said and Benedict Spirit have leading claims but it may be worth taking a chance that a switch of yards can turn around the fortunes of HERMOSO. The former Irish point winner cut little ice in two outings for his previous connections but the performances of Sunnsyside (the horse that chased him home at Maralin last year) under Rules suggest that he should be competitive in a race of this nature. He's joined a top yard that's been amongst the winners and could well leave his earlier efforts behind. Sahrati boasts the highest official rating in the line-up and, as such, has leading claims with Timmy Murphy a noteworthy booking for the newly licensed trainer who recently opened his account with a horse that Murphy rode. You Never Said represents a feared combination but he does have something to find on the figures although this longer trip could conceivably bring about some improvement. Benedict Spirit is closely matched with You Never Said but isn't certain to enjoy this trip as much as some of the others and preference is for Hermoso.
