Verdict

Oxford City made hard work of landing a handicap at Kempton last month and is likely to struggle to follow up under his 6lb penalty and a better bet looks to be SUNSET BOULEVARD, who is preferred to Slew Charm. The last mentioned is trained by Noel Chance, who has his string in good form, was not beaten far over 1m2f here last time and should not be inconvenienced by the extra two furlongs today. Julia Feilden's Bavarica ran better over a mile at Kempton last month and does stay 1m2f but she may not appreciate the extra two furlongs today, while Stan Moore's Hold The Bucks could probably do with some help from the handicapper. Zuwaar has not won since April of last year but has shown improved form in recent starts so cannot be discounted but more solid claims are held by Sunset Boulevard. Tor Sturgis owns and trains the seven-year-old who won well over course and distance last month and he may be worth backing to score again off just a 5lb higher mark.
