Monaco Dream is the only one of the nine runners declared for this maiden to actually have a rating and has been allotted a mark of 73 following his three starts so the Willie Jarvis-trained filly sets a reasonable standard but she may have to settle for minor honours behind ABERGAVENNY, who gets the vote with Southern Breeze rated the best of the rest. The selection did not have the clearest of passages on his debut here last month when staying on well late on in the race won by Beyond but he is sure to have learned from that outing and, with Mark Johnston's runners in a rich vein of form, he can open his account today. Rae Guest traditionally does well with his fillies but Lastroseofsummer has given little sign of encouragement so far and of more interest may be Frameit. Stan Moore's son of Antonius Pius looks the pick of the two newcomers in the race over Mrs Onc but he will need to be useful to trouble the judge. Sylvester Kirk's Southern Breeze has not shown much in two starts so far but he should improve for being stepped up in trip to 1m2f from seven furlongs and has to be considered. Abergavenny has solid claims though and, in the hope that he gets a clear passage today, he should be tough to beat.
