    Verdict

This is a hugely competitive contest in which plenty of the 12 runners have claims and what can only be a tentative vote goes to DICEY AFFAIR, who has been running well of late for the in-form Gary Moore stable, and he gets the vote ahead of Shakespeare's Son and Stormburst. Adrian Chamberlain's mare ran well here two starts ago and she has every chance if able to reproduce the form shown that day but she did disappoint at Southwell subsequently; however, she has disappointed there before and may do better back on the Polytrack. George Prodromou's Sonhador has not been beaten far in his last two starts and should be thereabouts again off the same mark. He makes more appeal than Mick Quinn's Nawaaff, although any market support for the five-year-old would be of interest. Hart of Gold has been running well in defeat but could probably do with further assistance from the handicapper and more solid claims are probably held by Shakespeare's Son, who can race off the same mark as when narrowly beaten in his last two starts. Gary Moore has his string in good form at present though and he can take another race here with Dicey Affair.
