ZAIF is in good heart just now and represents good value to lead this lot home today. Spinning Waters and Astronomical deserve a change of fortune and can be expected to be on the premises for each-way punters, while Outland, with Kieren Fallon in the plate, is also respected despite being set to carry top weight. The last named may need a bit more cut in the ground to be seen at his best, though. Another worth a mention is Dazzling Begum, who is at the top of his game but has a bit more on his plate from a revised mark. However, a speculative investment on ZAIF is forwarded on this occasion. The selection was rated 89 in his prime as a three-year-old but has obviously had mixed fortunes since then. However, the gelding is versatile regarding the ground and, having strung together a series of consistent efforts; it would be dangerous to allow Zaif to slide under the radar today -especially as he is one of only a handful certain to act on the anticipated going.
