A mark of 84 for KING OF AQUITAINE isn't an insurmountable barrier in this company and the old theory about backing the top weight in a nursery might be the best route to riches here; Tipsy Girl and Silca Conegliano are forwarded as the best of the rest. The last named has been kept busy since her introduction in April but has yet to really capture the imagination. That said it's interesting that she turns up here rather than head to Lingfield for a similar event later in the week. A careful monitoring of the betting is advised where Mick Channon's charge is concerned. Tipsy Girl impressed when making a winning debut at Bath in May but was well held in the Empress Stakes at Newmarket last time out. This would appear to be a more realistic target and it would come as no surprise to see the mount of Robert Winston brush aside the challenge this afternoon. However, King Of Aquitaine was a ready winner at Newcastle last month and, as that form has a solid feel to it at this stage; it's the mount of the in-form Paul Hanagan that gets the biggest vote of confidence on this occasion.
