Tony Martin won this last year with Pires though he had shown much more than today's representatives, the newcomer Finite Destination and Redera. King Of Thunder showed promise in two decent bumpers and is one to note but this is a tough race to call with four winning hurdlers entered. Ballyadam Brook was impressive when making all at Sligo and will be difficult to catch but the concession of 5lbs to the mare MOI DESIRE may just be beyond him as Eoin Griffin's charge looked a very nice prospect at Kilbeggan. Rayhani appeared to enjoy the very fast conditions at Limerick while Hasaratan was by no means disgraced behind the prolific The Fonze in a better race at Down Royal.
