With just a 4lb rise for an eased-down success over 10f here last time, we will take BLUE TURK to repeat the dose over slightly shorter, while Cadeaux Fax is among the dangers. The latter won a good ground Chepstow handicap off a mark of 54 in August and is 6lbs higher tonight. He has previously made the frame when stepped up to this trip, so there is no problem for him on grounds of stamina, and he does come here in form, so is given due respect. The Grey One has a course and distance win to his name, but is now fully 12lbs higher than that and although likely to show up well he should find a couple too good. French Art has a squeak given that he has been dropped 2lbs since finishing runner-up at Ayr last time, though he has to prove that he handles this surface. Hereford Boy has slipped to an attractive mark and should be capable of getting involved when it matters, but we prefer the claims of Blue Turk. The Where Or When gelding drops back to a mile after hosing up here last time, but he should still possess enough toe for this, and he can overcome a less than favourable draw to win again.
