The form shown by BABY DOTTIE at Ascot last time is very smart in the context of this race and she gets the vote to break her maiden ahead of Forest Crown. The latter looks a certain improver for Ralph Beckett, after a very nice Salisbury debut on fast ground when the yard weren't going so well and she blew up in the closing stages. She has been given three months since that run and she can get even closer here, but Baby Dottie will be a tough nut to crack. Pedigree suggests that this drop back to the minimum trip for the first time is not ideal, but her prominent, pacy style of running says otherwise. She has acted on Lingfield's Polytrack before so there is hope that she can do it here and from a good draw we will side with her. La Fortunata is a confirmed fast ground turf performer who tries this surface for the first time tonight. She has made the frame in four of her six starts and she can probably do so again. Desert Poppy improved for her first run and can do so again, though this trip may be a bit sharp for her, while Elsie's Orphan is another who should be better for her 6f debut here and will be interesting if supported. Baby Dottie can lead them home.
