Mafeking looks likely to take a bit of beating here but he is exposed and looks vulnerable to RACING HERO. Jeremy Noseda's string are still going well and the selection was an impressive winner of a Doncaster maiden in June. Given a mark of 80, he struggled at Windsor next time and has not been seen since. Now 2lbs lower, we hope that the break has done him good and that he can reproduce something like his Town Moor run. He is open to plenty of improvement and we will side with him. Mafeking is back on a winning mark, acts around here and races over his optimum trip, and if the selection doesn't produce the goods then he is likely to take advantage. Uncle Fred was out of his depth last time but returned to this grade and on a track he likes there is scope for better over this longer trip and he is respected. Eseej will be staying on at the business end but may find this all happens a bit quickly for him, while Putra One also drops back in trip but his form so far suggests that he will be able to cope with that a little better and from this mark he has claims. Racing Hero can be just that.
