ALEQA caught the eye in defeat last time and she can see off the recent winners Sairaam and Crianza. Chris Wall's Oasis Dream filly was third to Just The Tonic at Redcar earlier in the month where she was never closer than at the line. The run-in here seems to go on forever which should suit and this improving filly can win off the same mark of 65 today. Crianza sprang a 100/1 surprise at Redcar last time out, stepping up on her previous two efforts over longer trips. One imagines that the maiden may not have been the strongest (1st three home sent off at 66/1+) but it would be unwise to underestimate her today. Frontline Girl bounced back to form last time, but is held by the re-opposing winner Sairaam. She has now won two of her last three races and is a major player again, despite a 4lb higher mark. Admire The View remains capable of better and is down to a fair handicap mark, Patroller in unexposed but needs to improve for the return to this trip, whilst Pretty Orchid has run some good races of late at big prices so a bold bid would come as no surprise. 1606 days is the break that Manic must defy, so the safest bet may be the promising Aleqa.
