Verdict
It will be interesting to see if there is any market support for Mahmood Al Zarooni's newcomer Ocean Drift, who takes the eye on pedigree and comes from a yard that can certainly ready one first time out but Richard Hannon's DR GREEN sets a decent standard and gets the vote ahead of stable companion Brave Battle. The last mentioned is speedily bred being by Compton Place and he has to be considered on his debut but will need to be useful to get the better of the selection. William Jarvis introduces a son of Holy Roman Emperor in Aquilifer, who has claims first time out, while Paul Cole's Frankish Dynasty ran promisingly on his debut at Goodwood but did not build on that effort at York last time and now looks best watched. Mick Channon introduces a son of Librettist in Clever Man and any market support for him would be of interest but it is hard to get away from Dr Green. Richard Hannon's colt has run well in all three starts so far and should be good enough to open his account in this company.
