Verdict

Godolphin dominate this opening maiden having four of the nine runners set to line up including one runner from the yard of Saeed Bin Suroor in the son of Kingmambo, Burj Hatta, and three from the stable of Mahmood Al Zarooni with the Invincible Spirit colt Bowermaster looking the pick of his trio but it is CULT CLASSIC that gets the vote. Richard Hannon's colt made a pleasing debut in a Newbury maiden when running a creditable fourth behind Trade Storm and, with improvement to come from that outing, he looks the one to beat in a field where the majority of the opposition are running for the first time. Mark Johnston's The Bells O Peover is well bred being a son of Selkirk out of a Daylami mare but the trainer rarely has first time out juvenile winners so he looks best watched, while Jeremy Noseda's Tokum has had the benefit of experience and showed improved form from his debut outing when a good second at Leicester behind King Tourus last time but Cult Classic has the better form and he is preferred.
