A very poor contest where BENDED KNEE looks the clear pick, while Casting Couch and Izzi Mill may fill the frame. The Barry Hills-trained Casting Couch has taken a while to get going, but probably showed a bit more spark when tried over this course and distance last time. Conditions should suit and if she can build on that then some prize money awaits. Izzi Mill was a shade disappointing at Salisbury after the promise of her previous Catterick second, and while her experience is respected she definitely looks vulnerable to Bended Knee. Henry Candy's charge probably pulled away her chance when otherwise making a pleasing debut at Bath over a mile. This drop back by a furlong can help her settle better and she probably only needs to reproduce or improve slightly for that debut to score on ground she will like. Jewelled Reef has a similar profile to a few of these in that she is likely to show prominently but looks likely to find a couple too good, while Rebel Woman is slowly coming to hand and should soon show us more of her ability. Bended Knee can land the girls race.
