Verdict
There are unlikely to be too many involved in this claimer and we are going to look a Gift Horse in the mouth and oppose with DRESSED TO DANCE, while Obe Gold can probably take silver or bronze. Ron Harris loves to have a winner at his local track and this is his only runner on today's card. The Namid mare races over her optimum trip and with her preferred ground conditions, and she will appreciate this drop back in distance. While she is no nailed on certainty she wins in her turn and her turn may well be today. Obe Gold put together a couple of wins in this sphere at Hamilton and Catterick in July, and has run with credit in defeat in four starts since. He should be very competitive again, while the same goes for Gift Horse. David Evans is a trainer to be feared here, but although his nine-year-old has been rated over 100 in his time, it has been a long decline for at least four seasons, punctuated only by one claimer win in that time. Although he has won on fast ground once, he seems to prefer it good or slower and so we are prepared to take him on. Outer Hebrides has got lots to find at the weights but does well at the track and so may emerge best of a moderate remainder, and while she may not waltz away with it, we prefer the claims of Dressed To Dance.
