Verdict

Not a bad race of its type and despite taking on a few with reasonable experience we will take the chance that Godolphin's debutant AQUA VITAE will be good enough, while Art Summer and L'Enchanteresse are short-listed. To encourage us the selection's price tag increased at two and the Camacho filly is a half-sister to a juvenile Listed winner over this trip, plus other winners at this age over sprint distances. The team's two-year-olds have had an outstanding campaign and she may well be good enough to see off opponents rated in the 70s first time out. Art Summer will probably appreciate this step up to 6f after staying on nicely to make the frame for a second time when runner-up at Bath last month. We anticipate some improvement from both her and L'Enchanteresse, who has also made some money on a couple of occasions and returns to a more suitable 6f here. Fast ground should be ideal for the Kyllachy filly who shouldn't be far away. Fenella Rose has some solid enough form in context, but she looks vulnerable on what we have seen thus far, and with nothing else making much in the way of appeal we'll take Aqua Vitae to score.
