In depth

Verdict

FIVE CENTS should be better for his debut and can hopefully make it an early double on the card for Saeed Bin Suroor, while there are a number with frame claims. The selection was very green here on debut, when ponderous from the stalls and just getting the hang of things towards the business end. This trip and fast ground look to be ideal and we will take him to score. Rawnaq is an interesting newcomer for Mark Johnston, though pedigree suggests that the classic age will see him to better effect, and White Devil may fare better today. A trio of tries at Sandown has seen the colt run with plenty of credit on a couple of occasions and this trip looks perfect, so we will give him due respect. Fantastic Prince is upped in distance having made the frame twice over 6f and hopefully the Cadeaux Genereux gelding can show more than when thrashed at Ascot when last seen in July. Conversely, Dinkie Shot is dropped back in trip after hanging when asked for an effort at Goodwood last time and may be better when sent handicapping over this sort of trip. Sir William Orpen will probably have to wait for future days and Five Cents can land the money.
