Verdict

GOING FRENCH is taken to land the opener with Rock Of Love next best. The selection has run with some credit in making the frame in all three of his starts thus far, and fast ground suits. The step up to an extended 7f looks the key factor here though, and that can hopefully elicit a fair bit more improvement and should make Roger Curtis's colt tough to beat. If there is one to lower his colours then Rock Of Love looks likely to be the one. The son of Rock Of Gibraltar has one more run to his name than the selection and he acts well on good to firm. Another who should appreciate the step up in trip, his chance is not readily dismissed. Mary Celeste is likely to be able to improve now tried at this distance, but she has shown little so far and may be a better proposition in handicaps. High Rolling was plenty green enough at Newcastle and it would be no surprise to see him produce much better, but preference here is for Going French.
