In what is a moderate but tricky finale what can only be a tentative choice goes to the topweight JEWELLED, who ran better in her second start in a handicap at Folkestone earlier this month and she gets the vote ahead of Fire King and Feet of Fury. Mark Brisbourne's filly ran creditably in a maiden at Redcar last time and has been given a chance by the handicapper so she cannot be discounted. Lilly Blue remains a maiden after 12 starts and is hard to recommend, while Mick Channon's Rose Cheval showed improved form in a Yarmouth seller last time but this is even better than that race was. Andrew Turnell's Bahkov has claims off his light weight and makes more appeal than Spring Secret, who has only been placed once from 10 starts. Sunny Future has run better in his last two starts but may prefer more cut in the ground and of more interest may be Fire King, who ran well here last time. Preference though is for Jewelled, who looks to be going the right way and he is taken to open his account in this poor contest.
