Unless there is a complete deluge it is hard to see Ocean Blaze's draw of 11 being a positive and instead we will plump for HEAVEN from a shortlist that includes Desperate Dan, Matterofact and Green Lagonda. Peter Makin's Reel Buddy filly has not been a punters pal of late, having gone without a win since July of last year. However that may provide a clue as her two wins have come in June and July and her last run behind Bateleur suggested that she was very much coming to hand. Cape Royal is capable on his day but tends to play a supporting role, as he did when third to Matterofact at Lingfield in June. They meet here with the latter on 4lb worse terms and they should be closely matched. Espy holds the selection on their clash here last time but has since disappointed at Brighton when well-fancied, Mazzola has faced some tough tasks this season but is edging down the weights, whilst Littlemisssunshine has not been with the yard for long and is one to watch in the betting. Brandywell Boy and Step It Up have been holding their form well, but the latter is hard to win with, so a bigger threat may be Green Lagonda who was unlucky to be racing on what may have been the slower patch of ground last time at Nottingham and he may do better now reunited with Paul Doe (onboard for Folkestone win earlier this month). A tricky finale for punters but divine intervention may come from Heaven.
