The return to this trip will suit LORD OROKO who is preferred to Star Of Pompey and Brave Bugsy. John O'Shea has a 20% strike-rate at the track this year from a limited number of runners, and Lord Oroko seems to like it here. He was building on a good fourth to Pelham Crescent here in May when winning over this trip later in the month and he looks the answer to this tricky puzzle. Things happened too quickly for him at Redcar last time and now back up in distance he should go close. Dream In Blue has stamina to prove but he may do better today with the cheek-pieces off, however a bigger threat may be Star Of Pompey who is just 1lb higher today than his Kempton win last time out. Trempari is winless in eight and doesn't shape like that will change, Lady Jinks steps up in trip after a good second to the progressive Starstruck Peter, whilst Party Palace shapes as if this longer trip will suit. Also of interest is Brave Bugsy who has a good record at the track; he was second to the selection here in May but races off the same terms here so it is hard to see why he should reverse the placings. A tricky puzzle to solve, but the feeling is that Lord Oroko can reign supreme.
