Verdict

DANIELLA DE BRUIJN is the suggestion in a trappy opener where Danzoe and Transfixed merit respect. Andy Haynes has been enjoying a profitable spell and it may be worth keeping the faith with his filly who was far from disgraced when a distant fourth behind a subsequent Group 2 placed winner at Salisbury. She competes at a more realistic level here, has yet to run a bad race whilst quick and slow ground appear to come alike to this likeable performer. Danzoe is progressing along the right lines and appeared to enjoy a little cut in the ground when running out a ready winner of a Ripon maiden. There may well be more to come from him now that he's got his head in front although there was only three quarters of a length and a neck between himself and the selection when they clashed in May. Transfixed began her career at a modest level but recent performances suggest that she's come to herself lately and is more than capable of holding her own at this more exalted level. The Shuffler has something to find with her on a line through Michaelmas Daisy, cheekpieces need to inspire Gillburg who would have claims on his debut third behind the speedy Star Rover whilst Angels Of Fashion also appears to be regressing. They cannot, yet, be confidently dismissed but a couple boast solid credentials, including the selection, Daniella De Bruijn.
