Verdict

PRINCE SIEGFRIED is preferred to Libel Law and Big Bound. The Godolphin team are ticking along nicely at present and this colt made a satisfactory debut for them three weeks ago at Kempton in a similar contest. He was well held but raced keenly having missed the break and can be rated a little better than the bare form; the run should have brought him on and he did enough to believe that he can win more races. Rendezvous is clearly of interest having shown a fair level of form for Andre Fabre but his breeding suggests that he may be seen to better effect over a trip and a watching brief is the order of the day on his belated return to action. Big Bound produced a couple of decent performances in the spring but has struggled of late; he is dropped in grade though and that may help him produce a more competitive performance. Similar remarks apply to Misdaqeya who has been highly tried on both starts but Libel Law looks very interesting having been asked to contest the Dee Stakes on the back of a maiden win. In Footlights impressed when justifying market support on debut but those in-behind to have run haven't done an awful lot for the form and it remains to be seen whether he can prove competitive in this company. He looks likely to have to play a supporting role to Prince Siegfried who can lead them in this dance.
