QUAKER PARROT ran fairly well in defeat last time out and is taken to get back to winning ways here at the main expense of Any Day and Flyinflyout in what looks a very competitive little nursery. Only five runners are due to post here but it is hard to rule any out. The selection represents Tom Dascombe and this half-sister to several juvenile winners seemed to appreciate the drop in class last time at Doncaster when third to Breathless Kiss. She faces different ground today but she did win on good-to-firm on her second start at Warwick and is fancied to run well off this mark of 72. La Fortunata has shaped with promise on all three of her starts to date and her mark of 73 looks about right; she has run at tracks with some undulations and if she copes with this track then she should go close. Any Day showed determination last time at Lingfield to fend off Soccer and she is interesting, although she did flop on her sole turf start back in June. Flyinflyout may be more interesting; Mick Channon's daughter of Fath takes a drop in class today following runs in Group and Listed company, and with a proven ability to act here she must go well if coping with the drop in trip (showed good pace in her win). Kings Of Leo completes the field; her turf mark of 85 looks overinflated because of a close second at Windsor in June and she has plenty on her plate despite her stable's strength in the two-year-old ranks. A toughie then for punters, but the feeling is that Quaker Parrot can squawk up another victory.
