Camps Bay gets the nod over Tempelstern and Spanish Hidalgo in the finale, while Sunley Peace is also respected and worth noting in the betting. Sunley Peace proved his stamina at Newmarket 12 days ago and is open to further improvement. This is a tougher ask though and no quarter measures will be good enough. Spanish Hidalgo has a bit to find with the selection and needs luck on his side - especially if the ground continues to dry out. That said, he did win over a mile on good to firm last year, so is no forlorn hope for at least a place. Tempelstern has got his act together well and may have been coming here with a more solid profile had the bit not slipped through his mouth when he raced at Thirsk in May. However, he has done nothing but improve since than and would be a popular winner if Henry Cecil has left a little more up his sleeve. However, Camps Bay just makes a touch more appeal on these terms and this fellow looks Jim Crowley's best chance of gaining a winner on the Knavesmire since he switched to racing on the Flat.
