Welsh Emperor can blaze a trail to victory in this company; Jack Sullivan, Fontill Road and Advanced can give him the most to do, although a move for Duff would be interesting. Duff has mixed it with some of the best in Ireland and his form figures do not really do him justice. He is an honest type that can be expected to make his presence known. Advanced - narrowly beaten into third behind Fonthill Road in last season's Ayr Gold Cup - ran as if something was amiss at The Curragh 11 days ago and is much better than he showed on that occasion. He looks worth another try over this trip and could be good value to make the frame. Fonthill Road is closely matched with his old rival and is equally respected. He is also unexposed over seven furlongs and would be dangerous to ignore. Mine and New Seeker are others that have held their own in races of this nature and, although appearing anchored on these terms, would not be without a chance granted luck in running. Jack Sulivan is lightlty raced in recent times and it will be interesting to note how the betting market reacts to him claims. However, Welsh Emperor has fewer questions to answer than most and, with his well being assured, he gets a confident vote to come out on top here.
