Walter Swinburn's ICE COOL LADY won with any amount in hand when successful in a Lingfield nursery on her first appearance on fast ground last week and she is taken to defy the penalty for that success with the main threats rated as Newbury Street and Victoire De Lyphar. Pat Haslam's gelding showed improved form when narrowly beaten by William Morgan in a York nursery earlier this month and he has to be respected but that was on a softer surface than today and he may not be able to reproduce the form on this afternoon's quicker ground. David Elsworth's Emma Dora was well held last time and looks readily discounted, while Baileys Vision similarly needs to improve on recent form to get involved. Clive Brittain's Bandear is another that was beaten a long way last time but may do better on the faster ground today, although of more interest may be Newbury Street. Richard Fahey's gelding looks reasonably well treated for his first start in a nursery off mark of 60 but preference is for Ice Cool Lady, who can follow up her recent Lingfield success.
